Oakley Bowling Club's AGM saw a new President elected with Ric Newson, taking on the role he also held in 2008. Speaking before the handover, outgoing President Norman Frost expressed his thanks to all who had supported him in his year of office and was delighed to announce he had raised £650 for his charity Naomi House/Jacksplace. He congratulated all who had represented the Club, drawing particular attention to Alice Lovett who had added the County Outdoor Singles title to her indoor one.

2025 will see the Club with several other new officers. Hugh Aherne succeeds John Ryan as Club Captain; Sandra Lee takes over from Shirley Ball as Ladies Captain and Wendy Aherne becomes the Social Secretary. A vote of thanks to John and Shirley was carried unanimously, before Norman closed the meeting by wishing the Club a successful 2025.
