Well done Oakley's Ladies who, last night at Cove playing in the Thornbery Trophy (the County club cup) secured a good win over the home side. In the early stages there was little between the teams with, at halfway, Oakley having a narrow 4 shot lead. However, by 12 ends the lead had increased to 9 and Oakley held on to win. Oakley scores: Mary Varndell, Angie Rowe, Sue Dixon and Janie Vickers won 12-11, Shirley Ball, Laura Butler, Val Ryan and Alice Lovett won 19-10
