CLUB HOSTS NORTH HANTS PRESIDENT'S DAY

Today was special for Oakley member Averil Adams, this year's President of the North Hampshire Women's Bowling Association, as she held her Presidents Day at Malshanger. Averil had invited guests from all the Clubs in the Association's area and was particularly pleased that Bowls Hampshire's Women's President Carol Eichen was able to join her. The day began with an excellent lunch in the main clubhouse, after which everyone moved to the green where players, in dry weather, participated in a Yardstick event before returning to the clubhouse for tea and wonderful homemade cakes produced by Averil and the Oakley Ladies. Oakley members, of both genders, worked very hard in supporting Averil and we hope she had a day she will remember for a long time.
