ALICE REACHES LEAMINGTON

Congratulations to Alice Lovett who, in the Junior Singles, has reached the Aviva National Finals to be held at Leamington Spa. Playing this morning, at Banister Park, against Grace Reed of Milton Park Ladies, neither player gained a significant early advantage. At 8-8, with Grace holding 3, a fine bowl from Alice saw a six shot turnaround as she moved in a 11-8 lead. The game remained closely contested but Alice's greater experience now showed and eventually she won 21-12 to lift her second County Junior title. Well done Alice and good luck at Leamington when, in addition to representing Hampshire in the Junior Singles, she will partner Grace in the Junior Pairs.
