ALICE REACHES COUNTY SEMI FINAL

This evening Oakley's Alice Lovett took on Trish Towner of New Milton in the quarter final of the County Singles. Trish had qualified for the Last Eights in the Pairs and Fours and so it was expected to be a difficult game. So it proved as Trish made the better start leading for all the earlier stages and after 13 ends Alice trailed 10-11. The 15th end was critical as Alice picked up a four to take the lead, for the first time, at 15-11 and eventually she ran out winner by 21-15. Alice will play her County semi final at Banister on Monday evening as she attempts to reach the National Finals at Leamington and to add the County outdoor title to the indoor title which she lifted earlier in 2024.
