ALICE AND GRACE REACH QUARTER FINAL

Congratulations to Alice Lovett and partner Grace Read from Milton Park as this afternoon, representing Hampshire, they reached the quarter final of the National Junior Pairs. Playing against Buckinghamshire they started slowly and after 3 ends trailed 4-1. Two successive scores of two took Hampshire into the lead but by 10 ends the scores were tied at 8-8. Leading 14-11 after 13 ends, Hampshire, on the next end, picked up a score of five. This gave them a comfortable lead and the match ended with a 22-12 victory. Everyone at Oakley wishes them good luck when tomorrow morning they play Hertfordshire.
