Sunday 13th was a busy morning at the Club as Gary Newson led a small team of members in cutting the hedges. Not only did they cut the two hedges surrounding the green but they also tackled the long neglected hedge in the North West corner. The hedge requires more work but the heavy work has been completed. Thanks go to Gary, Ric, Jim and Hugh and to Sue who worked so hard on the flower beds.
For the first time in over 40 years, club members did not have to carry out the end of season work on the green. Watched by John Yarrall, our contractor Avonmore arrived late afternoon on Wednesday and, using 8 machines and 7 men, had completed the work by early Thursday morning. We now have to wait 6 months before we see the results of the work. Roll on Spring.
