It was a mixed day for Oaklety players at Banister. In the afternoon, Ric Newson and Graham Tompkins looked set for a visit to Leamington as they led 15-5 in the Senior Pairs but their opponents fought back and sadly the Oakley duo suffered an agonising final end defeat.

In the evening Alice Lovett began brightly in the County Singles semi final and, although she always looked in total control the afternoon's event meant that there was always concern of a big change in mpmentum. Alice, however, remained composed and, although shots were hard to come by, Alice finally ran out the winner by 21-6.

Best wishes go to Alice as she looks to add the County Outdoor title to her Indoor one
