Last year we had wet weather for Bowls Hampshire's annual mini tour to the Dorset Bowls Resort but this time the sun shone on us, not that the 19 attendees from Oakley had much time for relaxation as they enjoyed themselves in an action packed 5 day break. It was a successful week for Oakley players with Diane and John Yarrall and Sue and Jim Dixon undefeated in winning the tournament and ensuring that, for the third successive year, the title ended up in Oakley's hands. The Presentation evening saw prizes being awarded to the tournament winners and to those who had participated in the putting and wedge bowling competitions which raised £140 for County President Sue's charity, Hearing Dogs for Deaf People. So popular is this tour that of the 54 people attending most were return visitors and as usual, the Dorset's accommodation, food and hospitality was first class. The booking for 2025 has already been made,
